Bethany L. Notaro, Esquire is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Her undergraduate degree is in the field of psychology, with a concentration in the counseling arts. Attorney Notaro obtained her Juris Doctorate from University of Pittsburgh School of Law. During the course of her studies she received various scholarships and honors for her academic achievement.

She is a certified professional mediator, who focuses on family law issues. Attorney Notaro was trained in Conflict Resolution and Professional Mediation at the Pittsburgh Mediation Center. Bethany L. Notaro, Esquire has also been trained in Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution as well as Family Law and Professional Divorce Mediation at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Attorney Notaro is a member of the Family Law Sections of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations and has served on the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Board of Arbitrators. Ms. Notaro volunteered for the Allegheny County Indigent Divorce Program. From 1999-2001, Attorney Notaro was a teacher’s assistant at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in the area of legal writing and analysis. While still an undergraduate student, she co-authored, with Dr. Jonathan Baron and Dr. Oscar Gandy, a study of race and risk perception, which was later published in the Journal of Psychology.

During her years of practice, Bethany L. Notaro, Esquire, has authored numerous articles regarding different Pennsylvania Family Law and Mediation topics. She served as co-writer of the Allegheny County Bar Association Bench Bar Update in 1999 and 2000. She is also the co-writer of the Pennsylvania Fundamentals of Family Law 2000, chapter Four, Alimony and Equitable Distribution.

Prior to opening her own practice, Attorney Notaro worked as an associate attorney for two large law firms that concentrated primarily in Family Law, Probate Practice, and Strategic Wealth Management. Ms. Notaro offers personalized representation to her clients in these areas as well as Mediation.
